Many charming heads, all on the same body.
What it Is: Videos and books that show you a system of exercises specifically designed to flatten female abs and perk up asses. Also included is a “squishy ball,” for exercises that more closely resemble humping.
Quote: “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a firm, sculpted booty?”
Cost: $60
Shills: Attractive creators Gillian Marloth and Leigh McDonough.
Set and Costumes: Bright indoor and outdoor workout spaces, revealing workout tops and pants.
Buy-For-Your-Wife Moments: Some special moves have fetishized names, as if they’re not already eroticized enough. “Show us a bad kitty, Sarah!” Also, male percussionists appear in convenient ass-viewing positions behind groups of booty-balleting women. A few token males also get mixed into the workout at the edges of the frame.
Standard Gimmicks: Close-ups of abs and asses, before-and-after shots, testimonies, women screaming with joy as they show off their new asses to each other. The ideal “booty,” in this spot’s terms, is spelled with two interlocking O’s, tight, and small, but defined.
Hollywood Cred:The SoCal-spawned YBB vaguely claims many “major film and TV stars” as customers, but the only one who shows up is Sharon Lawrence.
Evaluation: It’s tacky and advocates a boring, uniform beauty standard. Then again, it knows what it is and doesn’t try to duck behind dignified language – not a minute goes by without five to 10 uses of the word “booty,” often by grown women. By the end of this spot, one might think “booty” is a legitimate anatomical term. The spot gets points for recruiting a lot of charming, non-garish-looking women, and then putting all their friendly faces on the same body with cruel precision.
