This is almost too easy, but I suppose somebody has to do it. John Kass retweeted this:
This sums up the decolonize movement well. It’s not about education but revenge. https://t.co/5Ez1GCjUzz #NotreDame #Paris pic.twitter.com/DvEqVnuKOK

If only the decolonization movement were about education! We’d love to learn what we did wrong so we don’t repeat our historic white supremacist mistakes! Instead, we just get anger! Those heathens.
The tweeter, Andy Ngo, is an editor at Quillette, “The Voice of the ‘Intellectual Dark Web.'”
“Intellectual Dark Web” is another way of saying “pseudo-intellectual repository for the alt-right.” It’s “dark” because its community resides on the margins – if you can call Trump-like thinking marginal in this day and age. Let’s define “margins,” then, as on the margins of intellectually honest thought dressing up white supremacy as, oh, academic freedom and such.
“Quillette has become a hub for reactionary thought,” the Outline noted in 2017.
“The best way to get a sense of the typical Quillette reader is by perusing the comments section under any essay, especially those about feminism and the leftist threat to Western Civilization. Quillette’s readers see themselves as inheritors of the western tradition of dispassionate, boring debate instead of what they likely are: people trying to kill time at work by sounding off in the comments. They hate ‘leftist identitarians’ and ‘corrosive Marxists’ who ruin this dispassionate, boring debate by deigning to have an emotional stake in the subjects they study. They resent writers who inject politics and ideology into fields that should be studied objectively, like neuroscience and classical studies, because after all, there is only one objective truth and those shrill social justice warriors should just accept it. They love using really big words, because really big words make you sound smart. Basically, they’re all this guy:
“racial eugenics is WRONG? your argument is prima facie logicus bogicus. your fallacies are ad hominem, habeas corpus” NICE TRY U DORK BITCH

And for those wondering, sources close to Google, Twitter and the Chicago Tribune archives report that Kass has not written a single word about the white sheriff deputy’s son charged in the Louisiana black church fires that the New York Times notes “evok[ed] the long history of racist crimes committed in the Jim Crow South.”
(Nor has he written about 99 percent of Donald Trump’s racist, authoritarian statements and policies, or his daily cascade of lies. He is spending time, however, wondering if journalism can ever regain its credibility after such monumental screw-ups like the New York Times’ “exhaustive 18-month investigation of President Donald Trump’s finances that debunked his claims of self-made wealth and revealed a business empire riddled with tax dodges.” What a crappy piece of work! It’s so bad I encourage you to read it twice, just to marvel at the what hacks these reporters are, and to share it widely with your friends – and enemies – as an example of the kind of journalism none of us should aspire to!)

Kass also retweeted this – as if what seems to have been an accident sparked by restoration efforts instead represents the downfall of . . . white Western Civilization.
“At a time when social and cultural forces are building a bonfire of Christian values, this blaze at the heart of Paris seems a physical expression of all that is turning to ashes…We have all lost something priceless today.” https://t.co/21Soe6g5sz

Proft and Kass know this is the Notre Dame in France and not Indiana, right?
